Welcome to Gorinkai

Go Rin Kai means "The Five Rings Society", and this name comes from the Miyamoto Musashi's Book of Five Rings, the main japanese book about Strategy, sword handling, and Bushido -the way of the warrior.

See the following list of content. Maybe you can find something interesting...

  • Go Rin Kai - Well... that's only an introduction page, talking about the aim of this web. Read this:

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship,
design a bulding, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying,
take orders, give orders, cooperate, play solitaire, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure,
program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
    - Robert A. Heinlein -

  • Karate - Story, Spirit, Techniques and more about the Traditional Okinawan Karate-Do. All in Spanish, I'm afraid... but the pages about Karate techniques use a lot of pictures and Japanese terms, and you can understand them -and may be useful if you practice any Japanese Martial Art.

  • Texts - Translations to Spanish of some books about Martial Arts, Strategy and Philosophy. Sorry, but if you don't understand Spanish, will be better if you skip this section. But you can enjoy the pictures, anyway.

  • Training Techniques - Do you like Archery? Perhaps running Marathon? but... how can these activities help to you in your martial arts training? If you understand a bit of Spanish, enter, read, and learn...

  • First Aid - This section also includes the URL's of the Red Cross & Red Crescent pages in many countries.

  • Movies - If you don't understand the Text, enjoy the Pictures! ;-)

  • Japanese Language - I must warn you... it's for Spanish speakers.

  • FAQ's - er... hmm.. well. Only the usual F-A-Q's.

  • Links - I'm sure you can use this. Remember: the pages marked with the "blue dot" are pages in English Language.

  • Author - Something about me :-)
